Yeah, okay, I know I haven't posted in a hell of a long time.

Not a whole lot new going on, but what there is is kinda big.

I'm going back to school finally. Though not exactly in the way I had anticipated. Instead of finishing my Folklore degree (which I fully intend on doing eventually, don't worry) I'm going to be getting a Business degree. The thought behind it being that with a degree in Healthcare Management I could very possibly get on at Lilly (okay, bring on the jokes about the most Wyrm tainted company in the Midwest...) and make serious bank. Those who say money isn't important can bite me cause damn, is it nice to have. ^^

In other news, for my birthday today Mayghin and I went to the mall and I got to get some much needed clothing and on an excursion to Hot Topic I picked up a new album. The band is Chiodos. I'd never heard of them before tonight, didn't even know what type of music they played. What sold me on the album were such award winning song titles as "Is It Progression If A Cannibal Uses A Fork?," "I Didn't Say I Was Powerful, I Said I Was A Wizard," and "Life Is A Perception Of Your Own Reality." How could I possibly say no to that? Fortunately, the band is actually pretty good. I'm pleased.

Umm, new Changeling game is totally awesome and the next game is this Sunday, though I'm beginning to get a bit downhearted about the connections I've been trying to make. I've sent out somewhere around six to seven different emails to other players trying to make character connections and haven't heard much of a damn thing yet. The first one was sent over a month ago. Grr. Oh well. Silly Cam players....

Hey all. Okay, so I know that tomorrow night is the Wrap Party and such, but I was wondering if anyone had/had access to a pick-up/box truck tomorrow afternoon/evening. I'm moving part of my stuff into my new place tomorrow (thought it was today, but was told otherwise this morning) and really only want/need to get the big stuff (bed, desk, bookcases). The boxes and stuff can go in Mayghin's car and things don't HAVE to be out of my place until the 31st but I want to start staying in the new place ASAP. Thanks all!

Hey all! Okay, so I was informed yesterday that due to plain old lack of things to do, my hours at work are going to get cut drastically. (like, down to two or three days a week) As such, I'm looking for new and better work. If anyone has heard of any opportunities out there I'd be most appreciative if they could get sent along. I hate picking up second jobs, but what I'm making right now with a "full time" gig is barely enough to get by. Let alone, when it gets cut in half.

I'm no longer a single guy. Which, I realize in and of itself is not really that strange. The strange, and unexpected part of this whole thing is who. For those who are a part of the group and names mean something, Mayghin Brown and I have started seeing each other. This has been a very interesting and wonderful experience so far and I'm looking forward to the future.

It really was completely and utterly unexpected too. Funny how life comes at you when you least expect it.

Okay, so most people who know me know that I'm not really a sports kind of guy. Though for those of you who were at Chili's last night I'm sure you just read that with no small amount of doubt.

Let me explain...

I've been a Colts fan for years. I got indoctrinated VERY early on and was a fan even through the Jim Harbaugh years. (yeah, I know, I'm ashamed too) And so, last night, WHEN WE WON THE FUCKING AFC CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!! I was a little excited.

Okay, so I was completely floored and stricken speechless and made something of a scene in the middle of the restaurant. But hey, at least I wasn't the only one!

Anyway, that bit out of the way, Changeling yesterday was pretty freaking amazing. I don't usually do Changeling posts (granted, I don't usually do posts at all, but hey) but this deserved one.

So I get to be King of Hell now with armies of Demons under my control. Hell yeah! I had some great moments where folk would come up and be all "Korael???? WTF???" Hehe. I really loved playing the complete change that came over his personality. A big thanks to everyone who interacted with me I had a lot of fun.

However, the fun of being New Satan was dimmed a bit by a rather frightening turn of events as far as some of the planning ideas that we heard in the 'fixing' of the world. Oh well, I'm sure there's something I can do about that. ^^

But yeah, overall, had an incredible time this weekend as a whole. A big thanks to Heather and Mayghin (though I don't think they read this) for letting me hang out with them all weekend. I had a blast. It is really interesting playing in a game with people for so long, but not really getting to know them. So I'm glad I got to expand my circle of friends even further. Woot.

So I'm okay. It really wasn't as bad as it was made out to be. I merely tore the muscles in my wrist while doing my job. As for being out of work, they found me something else to do until I completely heal. Anyway, yeah, that's the story.

So I got something of a surprise a few weeks ago that I had meant to share, but hadn't bothered yet. I was heading out of work one day a few weeks ago and as I was leaving I happened to look to my left and saw a box stacked up behind some other stuff in the refinishing shop area. What's so special about a box you say? Well, it was not the box specifically, but what was written on it. This particular box came from LE Johnson Products in good old Elkhart, IN. Now, I don't generally get to see a whole lot of stuff from back home very often so that in itself was something of an oddity. But the real wierd bit is that not only did I live in Elkhart for nearly eight years, but I worked at that same company as a summer job. God, that was a horrible job. They are a sliding door factory. Actually, Mykal and I both worked there. We both got fired due to the management being considerable douchebags. Myke was unfortunate enough to have clocked in three minutes late one too many times. (i.e. three)

My firing from that place of employment was a little more sinister. Our good friend Kayla's family has a lakehouse on Lake Michigan where we all would congregate during summers. One particular weekend we were tubing and I was on the tube with my then girlfriend. (hey had one of those wedge, two person tubes) At one point, she decides that she's had enough and is going to get off. Which leaves me, scrambling on this big damn flotation device. Before being ripped from the unforgiving nylon, the thing actually caught air and I flew for a good 50 feet before the slack finally caught and the tube was yanked rather sharply in a downward fashion. It hurt.

The next day was Sunday and my shoulder hurt really bad still. I figured I'd just torn a muscle or something minor like that and I'd be fine in a day. Monday comes along and I go to work. After about fifteen minutes it becomes very apparent that I can't lift my arm above my chest, nor can I lift more than about ten pounds with that arm. Herein lies the problem as my entire job pretty much consisted of lifting my arms above my head, and moving heavy shit around. I go to my boss and say that I should probably go to the hospital as I'm in screaming agony at the time. He agrees.

I visit the doctor and get checked out complete with x-rays where I find that I have not merely torn a muscle in my shoulder, oh no, I have ripped my rotator cuff. This is bad. Like, physical therapy, bad. So the appointment is made for that coming Thursday and I go home. Later that day I call work and talk to Paul (the boss) and explain to him what has happened. I ask if it's okay for me to go to the appointment, he says sure. The next two days I get put at a differnt machine (as I can't exactly do the job I'd been doing for the previous two months). Thursday comes and to the therapy I go. Friday I come in to work, arm in sling. I work the entire day, and five minutes to quitting time I get called into Paul's office where I'm told that due to my absences this week I've gone over the allowed amount and I didn't have to come in next week, or ever again. Assholes.

Anyway, yeah, LE Johnson box at work. Kinda funny, actually.
